In a microscope we examine and quantify 2 objects of different scale of an influenza vaccine production process, the host cells in a range of a 15 µm diameter and their parasite, the influenza virus with 100 nm in diameter.
Some of our important questions are to count virus particles and to differentiate between active and inactive. Results we are able to obtain with microscopy are compared with different methods.
